Velma Eileen Ens (Klassen)

Tribute
Velma Ens (nee Klassen) age 80 of Chilliwack, BC passed peacefully on October 15, 2023.
Velma was born in Chilliwack to John and Evelina Klassen.
After attending school in Chilliwack, she worked as a legal secretary for several firms
in Chilliwack. In 1962 Velma married Frank Ens also of Chilliwack, B.C. They had three
sons, Reg, Brian, and Steve. Velma spent many years working at Ann Davis Transition
House. Her time spent there was much more than a job to her.
Velma loved traveling, baking, spending time with family and friends, and baking.
She is survived by her beloved spouse, Frank, children Reg and Lori, Brian and Deb, and
Steve and Cindy, eight grandchildren and spouses, and three great-grandchildren.
Velma is predeceased by her parents and three brothers-in-law.
Velma’s Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, October 23, 2023 at 11:30 a.m. at
Greendale MB Church, 6550 Sumas Prairie Road, Chilliwack.

Dear Ens family,
It is with regret that we cannot attend the service on Monday (as we have work obligations), but we would like to send you our condolences during this difficult season for your family.
Velma was a big part of our lives during our time in Pastoral work at Eden, and she was extremely supportive. We are grateful for having known her and very much appreciated all the signs of care she shared with us. Frank and Velma shared a deep care for us (as a pastoral family), through all the ups and downs of church family life. We deeply grieve her sudden passing and we wish that peace of Christ would be with you Frank, and family during this sacred time.
