Genevieve Gem Emerson

Tribute
Gem passed away at home as she wished, four days after her hundredth birthday. She was born and raised in Regina and after her marriage lived in several places in Ontario before moving to BC. She is survived by her children Barbara, Andrew, Frances Little and grandchildren Robert, John and Laura Little. She was predeceased by her husband Cam, her parents, three sisters and a brother. Gem operated her own gift shop prior to working in several postal outlets in Cunningham Drugs and Shoppers Drug Mart. She retired at the age of 75 and was an avid gardener, stamp collector, reader, cribbage player and square dancer and shared numerous trips with Cam during their sixty year marriage. The family wishes to thank the caregivers of Home Instead, especially Bette and Marie and family physician Simone Hacquebard for all their kindness and care. There will be no service by request and in lieu of flowers please donate to the charity of your choice.
