Tribute
Ethel passed away peacefully at Abbotsford Hospital on May 10, 2024 with family by her side. She will be remembered for her wonderful smile, caring and thoughtful ways and welcoming home. Ethel was predeceased by her husband Edwin in August 1993 and her son Dan in December, 1993. She is survived by her daughters Cheryl Ohman (Grant) and Vicki Schmidt (Dave); daughter-in-law Jolene Davies and their families: 8 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
After selling the family dairy farm on Sylvester Road in Dewdney, Ethel moved to Cedar Springs on Clayburn Road where she served her community well. The past two years she has lived at Menno Place in Abbotsford. The family appreciates the wonderful care given to Ethel at both Menno Place and Abbotsford Hospital.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society or Heart & Stroke Foundation.
