David Bud Jones

Tribute
Dave was born in Winnipeg and moved to BC in 1957. He worked for the BC Government, spending many years at BCIT and ending his working years with the City of Burnaby. He passed away peacefully, surrounded by family and love at St. Mary’s Hospital in Sechelt. Dave leaves to mourn his wife and best friend Lorraine; step children Dawna (Wayne) Cope, David (Donna) Marshall, Rob (Rhonda) Marshall; daughter Debi and son Todd Jones. Grandchildren Amy, Scott, Julia, Nigel and Nikki were his pride and joy. He is survived by his sisters Betty (Larry), Winnipeg and Shirley (Jerry), Calgary; brother Lionel (Pat), Quebec other relatives and friends and his loyal companion “Jake”. He was predeceased by brothers and sister Claude, Gordon and Joyce. Travelling, golf, and hockey were Dave’s favourite pastimes – coaching with Burnaby Minor Hockey in the past. He treasured family gatherings. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, July 19 at 1:30 p.m. at Willingdon Church, 4812 Willingdon Avenue, Burnaby. In lieu of flowers donations in Dave’s name to the Cancer Society would be appreciated.
