Tribute
Born October 14, 1925 entered peacefully into the presence of his Lord and Saviour on March 22, 2011. Predeceased by his wife Joan of 49 years; he is survived by his children David (Becky), Debbie (Todd) Payne, Stephen (Debbie), Darryl (Karen) and Peter (Katie); siblings Joy (Hugh) Muller and George; 14 grandchildren, and many nices and nephews. After his commitment to our country in WW II, Cecil served the Lord faithfully as a pastor for 50 years – 15 of which were with the Sovereign Grace Baptist Church as well as Legion Chaplain in Mission. He will be greatly missed by many family and friends and he will be remembered for his humour, gentle charm, welcoming spirit and the ability to lighten peoples’ hearts. A graveside service will be held Saturday, April 2 at 1 pm at Hatzic Cemetery, 34867 Cemetery Road, Mission. A celebration of his homegoing will follow at 2 pm at Northside community Church, 33507 Dewdney Trunk Road, Mission. Rev. Bruce Ray will officiate.

Dear Joy and Hugh, I heard of Cecil’s passing and wanted to send my condolences to you and your family. I so enjoyed the time I spent with Cecil in my role as occupational therapist. I was very fond of him and will miss him until we are all together in heaven in the future.
