At Wiebe and Jeske our services honor people of all cultures and beliefs.
Funeral or memorial tributes may be held in your church, a church we provide for you or a non-denominational venue. Memorial tributes may also be held in your home, your apartment or condominium‘s common room or recreation room; a Legion or convenient hotel or community hall, and many restaurants and golf and country clubs offer memorial service packages. And, our crematorium is conveniently located in Abbotsford.
Traditional Burial or Cremation
Most people are familiar with a “Traditional Service” structured around the following elements:
- Transfer of deceased from place of death to the funeral home for preparation
- Time is set aside for viewing or visitation either the day before or day of the service
- A ceremony in the venue of choice followed by burial or cremation.
Memorial Service
This is probably the most familiar form of service for families in our area and consists of:
- Transfer of deceased from place of death to the funeral home for preparation
- A ceremony in the venue of choice typically followed by a reception
Graveside Service
This type of service is usually considered when the memorial service is planned for a time in the future and includes the following:
- Transfer of deceased from place of death to the funeral home
- Viewing may be arranged if so desired
- Burial takes place in the cemetery of choice
Simple Disposition
No formal service that the funeral home is involved with, but does include:
- Transfer of deceased from place of death to the funeral home
- Cremation or burial take place according to funeral home schedule without family participation
These are just brief descriptions of the services we offer. Any of them may be customized to suit your family’s needs. We know that the death of someone you love can be a time of emotional turmoil. We do our best to help you through the decision making process.
