Tribute
Born on April 8, 1930 in R.M. of Rhineland, Manitoba, was the only child of Peter and Tina Penner. He passed peacefully into the presence of his Lord and Savior on December 8, 2011. Peter will be remembered by his wife of 31 years, Rita; his son, Leroy (Brenda) Penner; daughter, Luella (Chris) Johnsen, step-children, Mina (Tom) Zurowski, Lois (Bruce) Beck; 9 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren. Peter was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend. He will be dearly missed. A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, December 16, 2011 at 2:00 pm at Sevenoaks Alliance Church, 2575 Gladwin Road, Abbotsford, BC. Donations may be made to MCC.

Hi Leroy & Luella, I wish to offer my condolences at the passing of your dad. I have many great memories of him and your family even though we’ve mostly lost touch over the past number of years.
Your dad was great on the fiddle and I loved how he could play the train number. I saw him do it with his band on the one trip our family took to visit your family when I was about 13 or 14 years of age.
I wish you all the best, I was so pleased to see you both at the time Rona got married in Abottsford.
