Maria ((Mary)) Sales

Tribute
Mary passed away peacefully at Cascade Hospice in Chilliwack, BC with her daughters by her side. Mom was born in Western Ukraine to parents George and Anna Feniak and immigrated to Canada in 1930. She grew up in the Edmonton area but spent the majority of her life in BC, with her most favorite place being her beloved log home in Lone Butte, BC. Mary is predeceased by her two sons Jerry, Ivan, her loving husband of 54 years, Reece, and parents George and Anna Feniak. She will be greatly missed by her children, Marie [Leon] Black, Gordon [Lorraine], Betty [Dana] Hyshka, Dale [Lorraine], Janet [Brad] Bezovie, ten grandchildren and their spouses and 12 great-grandchildren, sisters Dora Britch and Ann Jesperson and their families, as well as extended family in the Ukraine. We know all will remember her strength, determination and witty comments. Mary's family would like to thank Dr. Bull and the wonderful staff and volunteers at Cascade Hospice for their compassion, kindness and loving care of our mother and family. Also, thanks to Dr. Ho and the Fraser Health staff for their in-home care. There will be no service, but internment of ashes will take place at a later date. Mom preferred flowers in the garden and not at funerals. In lieu of this, please consider a donation to your local Hospice Society.

Janet & Brad and all your brothers, sisters & family, I am so sorry to hear of your mom’s passing. I know I met your mom many years ago and also met most of your family. You are all so beautiful and I know your mom planted this beauty seed. She’s at peace now and is smiling over all of you, so filled with pride. Her job here on earth is finished now–her life so full of beauty and love. God Bless her and each of you.
