Lena Roller was born on September 7, 1932 to Peter and Lena (Unrau) Krahn in Reinfeld,
Manitoba. Her mom passed when she was 8 years old. Katherine (Nikkel) became her beloved
step-mother . “Lee” was the eldest of Peter’s 8 children. The family moved with friends and
families by train to the Abbotsford area in 1946. Lee helped with housework, care of younger
siblings, and farm work – strawberries and chickens. As a late teen she was employed as house
help and at an old folks home before she went to Western Pentecostal Bible College in
Vancouver. It was there that she found her life sweetheart, Egan Roller, marrying in 1953.
Lee was a faithful helpmate to Egan, as they pastored many churches across BC, Alberta,
Manitoba, and even in New Zealand. They did 2 Mission trips as well, to Kenya and Zambia.
Lee enjoyed babies and homemaking. After having 4 girls, she opened her heart and home to
many others. Siblings Lynn and Sam Csontos (and their growing families) are the best bonus.
After celebrating her 91st birthday and 70th Wedding Anniversary, Lee graduated to Glory from
Menno Home in Abbotsford on October 22, 2023.
She is survived by her husband, Egan,
daughters: Sherry Komant (Elmer), Bonnie Bidell (Erik), Darlene Komant (Mervin), LenAe
Ballard (Mike van Lokven), with 10 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and trusting God for
more.
Siblings: Ruth Ratzlaff, Anne Kerluke, Jake Krahn (Jeanne) Garry Krahn (Lorraine), and her
sister-in-law Betty Krahn ,
She is predeceased by her parents, her brothers Peter, (Helen) John and Tony and son-in-law
B.J.Ballard.
