So sorry to hear about your mom Jake-I know she will be missed dearly by all the family. I used to enjoy Petra’s stories about her and how much she was loved. Thinking of you all.

We’re so sorry for your loss. Our hearts go out to you and we pray for strength and peace.

A life well-lived. Safe in the arms of Jesus..

From: Larry Kenneth Dicks
Relation: She is the mother of our good friend Jake.

To Jake and all his family members, Joan and I will be keeping you in our prayers not only for these trying times but for the loss of your Mom and our friend Katharina.. She made the best darn fried chicken in the world, and despite the fact she gave me the recipe and even showed me how to do it “her way”, I must confess that I haven’t been as near as successful as her with the delicious end results. I will always cherish the memories of her mouthwatering cooking abilities and especially her innate ability to always make you feel so at home in her presence. She is a real beautiful person and we were very blessed to have known her even for a short period of time.

From: Helen and Peter Peters
Relation: Really good friends of Katharina

We enjoyed playing games with Katharina. We always enjoyed everything she served us. She was a wonderful cook. We also remember Katharina phoning when the chickens started laying small eggs. She gave us enough to make a big batch of noodles. We enjoyed visiting with her in church and will dearly miss her.
May God bless you, her family, and we will remember you in our prayers.

From: Robyn Gray Lepki
Relation: Family Friend

To Jake, Petra and family. My sincere condolences for your loss. Mrs. Penner was a strong, kind-hearted and wise lady. A wonderful women who role-modeled what it means to live well. She will continue to live on in so many of our hearts.
