Tribute
Gary Loewen: husband, dad, grandpa, brother, uncle, friend; pastor, missionary, construction site supervisor, servant.
Psalm 16:11 ‘You will show me the path of life, in your presence is fullness of joy, at your right hand are pleasures forevermore’ was one of Gary’s guiding life anchors. God blessed Gary’s deep love of HIS Word, and the lives of many were impacted when he passionately communicated biblical truths that had been life transforming in his own life.
He will be fondly remembered for his dedication to and enjoyment of his family; for his willingness to forgive; for his humour and teasing; for his love of sports and initiating a round of golf or pickle ball; for planning and enjoying group BBQs, Waffle parties, birthday dinners and celebrations.
Gary’s battle with pancreatic cancer was short. We thank God that by His grace Gary lived his last weeks humbly surrendered to his Maker. He is deeply missed by his wife Ellie, daughters Charlotte (Tim) and Rosanna (James), and son Dan (Lynn) and their families, as well as a wide circle of family and friends. Gary was predeceased by his parents, John and Mary Loewen, parents-in-law Daniel and Elma Peters and son-in-law Nathan Toews.
