Tribute
In the early hours of Friday, October 14, 2022 Cornelius Van Den Bosch passed away suddenly following a brief illness. Neil is survived by his four children, Art (Margaret), Elsa (John), Yvonne (Rick) and Raymond (Maria) and fifteen wonderful grandchildren, their spouses and a total of thirty-nine lovely great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, Johannetta (Nettie) who passed away the day before their 54th anniversary on June 6, 2017 and by his little stillborn daughter, Arlene on October 8, 1964. He was also predeceased by his one brother Arie and six of his eight sisters in recent years. Neil, to his Canadian friends, Case to his Dutch friends, was born in the village of Rijnsburg, South Holland to Albertus and Maria. He immigrated to Canada with his sister’s family in 1951. He married Nettie on June 7, 1963, along with Nettie’s three children, whose father had passed away four years earlier. Together, they were blessed with one more son, Raymond. Neil worked hard in the lumber mill and as a sideline he also grew many cut flowers to supplement the family income. Neil loved growing flowers and continued to enjoy his hobby well into his retirement years, even maintaining a row of patio pots at Hallmark on the Lake. He loved to camp, skate and dance with his children creating wonderful memories. He loved his family, friends and fun!
