Dear Maggie and Atkinson Family,
Our sincere condolences on the passing of Ken. I first met Ken at CFB Borden as one of our instructors at CFSEME, Materials Tech Pl. Ken was a good senior soldier / welding instructor and was well liked by all. His calmer demeaner and solid background was always highly respected making him an excellent Snr instructor. His low key humour was nice to hear during our Friday Section TGIFs party, which were usually quite joyful / boisterous if you met the others!
Ken will be missed, there will always be a heartache and many silent tears in the coming days. But you will always have those precious memories and one another to reflected on when Ken was here. RIP Ken.

I heard of Ken’s illness and just assumed he would work through it. I was going to email or phone but thought I would wait as no doubt everyone was bugging him to get well. I was surprised to find out he didn’t make it and now wish I did make that phone call. I worked with Ken at the Canadian Forces School of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering at CFB Borden, Ontario where we both were instructors and Standards writers. Ken was a great guy who showed a lot of dedication and skill as an instructor. He will be missed by the Material Technician and RCEME Family. My condolences go out to Maggie and family.

Dear Maggie and Atkinson Family,
My most sincere condolences, I was saddened to hear that Ken has passed away. I met Ken at CFB Borden as I was one of the instructor working under his wing in the welding section. I will always remember him as a calm person, easy to approach, ready to help with a good sense of humour.
Ken played a role in my military progression and will not be forgotten.
