Jon Eaton

Tribute
Born in Calgary, Alberta, Jon died peacefully in Abbotsford, BC, after a lengthy illness with his family by his side. He is survived by his wife Darryle Ann (Baxter); 3 children Lenore (Stacy Nephin), Jon (Sue) and David; 4 grandchildren Kate, Alex, Sarah and Maxwell and other family members and friends. His funeral service will be held Thursday, February 20 at 2:00 p.m. at The Anglican Parish of St. Matthew, 2010 Guilford Drive, Abbotsford. BC with burial to take place at Union Cemetery in Calgary at a later date. Donations in his honor may be made to your local food bank.

My sympathy to all of you. I spent a lot of weekends at the Eaton ranch when I was young. Jon and Darryle were always warm and welcoming. I have fond memories of the fresh “country” breakfasts and swimming in the pool. May your memories offer you comfort at this time.

Jon was such a big man in so many ways. Just a few weeks ago me were talking about memories of corn roasts, bacon and egg breakfasts at church, and Santa Claus. His big booming voice and abundant generosity were good examples to us all. We will all miss him dearly.
